Rwanda safari FAQ

The questions we get most before a Rwanda trip. Ask us anything else through the form below.

When is the best time to visit Rwanda?+
Dry months — June to September and December to February — give the easiest trekking conditions and reliable wildlife viewing across all four parks.
Do I need permits for gorilla trekking?+
Yes — permits are required and issued in limited numbers per day. We secure them on your behalf, so booking a few months ahead is recommended, especially in peak season.
Is Rwanda safe for travel?+
Yes. Rwanda is known as one of Africa's safest, cleanest and most welcoming destinations, with well-developed tourism infrastructure.
Can I combine Rwanda with Uganda or Congo?+
Absolutely — our most popular routes cross into Uganda for Bwindi gorillas or into Congo for Virunga. Let us know and we'll build the connecting legs.
